John 6:37
“All those the Father gives Me will come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will never drive away.”
I remember sitting in church, in awe of the women around me, who I thought had it all together. Of course, I assumed they spent hours in the morning reading the Bible and praying. I thought I could never measure up. When I started to get to know those around me, I learned they struggled just like me. God does not care if our prayers are perfect, or if we spend all day reading the Word. He does not turn us away. He welcomes everyone that comes to Him, however they pray or read the Word, or even sit in His peace. Whether it’s minutes or hours, He welcomes all just as they are. Of course, He wants a closer relationship with us. He loves when we spend time with Him, but we need not pick ourselves apart if we think we are not doing it right. Have you spent time with God today?
Dear God, thank you that you welcome me no matter how I approach you. Thank you that you do not turn me away. Help me to desire to spend time with you. Give me the grace and mercy you offer me and allow me to show it to others. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Such a beautiful message!
Thank you.
