Psalm 34:17-18
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
I admit it, I am control freak. It’s hard for me to not be one. I must remind myself on a daily basis that the Lord has me in His arms. When our hurts, grief, sorrow, and failures or even daily life in general comes at us we can be constantly worn down. God gives us a promise in the above Scripture, that He is close to the broken hearted. He promises to be our strength, courage, and wisdom, helping us navigate through the problems. Sometimes He chooses to deliver us from the challenges. Other times He goes through them with you. More than likely to help us learn something or to show His glory. When you have troubles, admit you need God, you need His help and thank Him for being there for you. Are you going though a hard time right now?
‘Dear Lord, thank you that you help me through my problems and distractions. Help me to remember to come to you first instead of trying to tackle things on my own. Give me your courage to face the trials of this world. Let me help those around me to get to know you. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
