Psalm 34:4

“I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears.”

Isn’t it wonderful that we serve a mighty God who is willing to take away all our fears? All we have to do is ask. This Scripture was especially timely for me today. The day snuck in and my fears arose. I am not saying that we should never be fearful but to have fear that paralyzes you is not what God wants for us. He wants us to live an abundant life and live it to the fullest. Speaking as a person who has had her fair share of fear, mostly irrational, I can relate to anyone out there that has had the same issue. Recently, I was going through a bad spell of irrational fear. Everything in me was occupied by this fear. It was so bad that I took my eye off of Jesus and focused entirely upon myself and my fear. It took everything in me to finally open God’s Word and do a review of the word fear. I wrote all of them down and prayed for God’s help. Slowly, I felt something change in me, the fear that was not of the Lord had left and a peace came over me. If you are struggling with fear, please don’t be like me and wait. Turn to Jesus and pray and search His Word and you will find peace.

Dear Lord, I come before you humbly asking you to help me with my irrational fear. Please give me the courage to not look at myself but look to you for the answers.  I thank you that you care so much for me that you would be concerned about my fears and don’t leave me to wallow, I simply have to ask. You are an awesome and wondrous God. I pray this in your name, Amen.
