Psalm 121:1-2

“I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

When we rely on ourselves alone, we do not understand the full glory of God. If we realize that our help comes from the Lord, we are able to better serve Him. Life is full of struggles, I can attest to that, but when I remember that I do not have to do this on my own, I am left with a great comfort. I do not need to live this life or deal with the problems presented before me by myself. God is there. He will help me to overcome those things that could or do overwhelm me. I know this is not an easy thing to do, turn our wills over to God. I know I struggle with this, but this Scripture helps me to realize I am not alone, God is the helper we all need in our lives. What do you need help with today?

Dear God, thank you that you love me so much that you have not left me alone. Please remind me of this Scripture, that my help comes from you, when I can’t seem to grasp that you are there with me in my troubles and my joys. Help me to see those around me who are struggling and need your love. Thank you that you can work through me to help others. I pray this all in Jesus’ name, Amen.
