Proverbs 31:10

“She is worth far more than rubies.”

We are precious! History has not always been kind to women. There is more than one example of a woman being taken advantage of during their lives. I am not saying that men did not have a rough way to go in the past, but men have on more than one occasion tried to keep women down. But if we look at the Bible, God has one story after the other about how he cared for women. We see it in the woman at the well. Jesus met this woman and read her mail, but it was to make her see that He cared for her. How about the woman caught in adultery? During that time, it was a stonable offense, in fact Jesus could have just gone along with the crowd, it was part of the law, but no, He stood up for her, asking anyone if they did not have sin to throw the first stone. Look at Mary at the tomb, she was the first to discover that Jesus had risen, and she alerted the disciples. Why even mention her if she was not precious to Him. We all are precious to him. Do you know how precious you are?

Dear Lord, thank you that you think I am precious. Help me to remember this in my day-to-day life. Give me you love to love on others who need to know who they are in you. Thank you for everything that you do for me. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
