Romans 12:2

“Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, and pleasing will.”

What does it mean to be transformed by the renewing of your mind? Even though we might know not to be a part of this world, our minds need to be transformed in order for us to be truly walking in God’s will. Our minds need to be changed from what we know of the world and what we know of God. Putting his values in our minds not just in our actions and customs. This means we can avoid worldly customs and still be covetous, proud, selfish, stubborn, and arrogant. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to transform our minds, he is the one who renews, reeducates, and redirects our minds, it is only when we ask him to help us and we accept it, that the Spirit can truly transform our minds.

Dear God, thank you that you have given us the Holy Spirit to transform my mind. Give me your wisdom so that I may allow this transformation to take place. Help me to share the gospel with others. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
