2 Corinthians 12:9
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Even Paul struggled. He was not perfect, and he knew that no matter God was able to use him in his weaknesses. Sometimes its hard when we sit in a church on Sunday, everybody in their best garb and behavior (except sometimes the children). It’s a hard place to come to know others struggles. That is why our testimony is so important. God never meant for our testimony to be all about the good stuff, it’s also for our struggles and doubts. It allows us to share our weaknesses as well as making it okay for others to share their testimony as well. Jesus did not die on the cross for us to pretend to be who God wants us to be, but to be our authentic self. Are you authentic?
Dear Lord, help me to be authentic, and able to share my testimony whether good or bad. Give me your strength to seek out others who might be in the same boat as I am and let them know that it is okay. Thank you for all your mercy and love. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
