Zechariah 4:10 NLT
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…”
There is a popular phrase that people throw around, ‘If it is meant to be’, some say this in not a biblical principle. It’s just a hollow mantra that gives us permission to passively play with God as opposed to pursuing what God has set for us. If it was up to the enemy, we would stay put in one place, just waiting for something to happen. The word wait is actually an action word. Waiting is a time for preparation, not to just sit there delaying what is to happen. When we step out in faith before you think you are ready is not only what God orders, but also prioritizes. I have to say I struggle with this concept, I have a problem when I have to wait, I feel like sometimes I run ahead of God, so how do we balance when we should truly wait and when we should step out in faith?
Dear God, thank you that your Word helps me to determine what I am supposed to be doing. Give me your wisdom to know when to wait and when to step out in faith. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
