Ephesians 4:14-16
“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the ways, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become on every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
Our faith should be childlike. But we must test ideas with full – grown discernment. What does this mean? When we accept Christ we come to him like little children, and with the Holy Spirit we are moved towards maturity. We need not stay the same as we did in our infancy of our faith. Instead, our faith should continue to grow. Some Christians have trouble growing, worrying about whether they will make mistakes and they are comfortable where they are. One reason God made the church was for believers to help one another. Don’t try to live the Christian life alone. Find a place where you can grow in your faith and Christianity. Are you growing in your faith?
Dear God, thank you that you allow me into your world. I pray that I will be able to continue to grow towards you. Help me to help other believers to seek you and to grow their faith. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
