A New Day

“Today is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it.” Psalm 118:24

Well, here we are at a new day. Sometimes it feels like the old day just follows us into this new day whether we want it to or not. You know what I mean, all that old stuff we just love to hold onto or is it just me. I must pray and thank God everyday that I have the opportunity to start this day afresh. I can choose to look forward instead of looking back. That’s not to say there is left over stuff from yesterday that we need to finish. But it does mean that whatever that happens to be we can do it in a joyful and thankful manner, if we chose not to do that the day before. What are you thankful for today?

Dear Lord, thank you for waking me up this morning. I praise your name that you have given me a new day to enjoy through you. Help to remember those around me, let me see those who are hurting and in need. Give me your strength to reach beyond my comfort zone to help others. I pray all this in Jesus name, Amen.
