The Girl at the Door is a place where I can explore this life I live and maybe even try to come up with some insights into what life in general is about. My life, like many others, comes with twists and turns, some easy, some middle of the road, and many hard. Grasping for explanations as to why some things happen or even just being able to live with life can at times becomes a full-time job. I am not an expert by any means of the word. I am, however, someone who, while explaining their life process hopes to give encouragement, a way to let others know they are not alone and maybe even sometimes offer a bit of comic relief, even for a second.
I don’t know if anyone will ever read, understand or even give a darn about this blog, but if at some point someone does, feedback is greatly appreciated. I would love to be able to share others stories on here as well, if anyone feels so led to let it all hang out. Or maybe partially hang out! If you feel so led you can email me at denise.jane.ward@gmail.com.
Thanks.
About the author: God has given Denise the deep desire to help others. With this desire, she accomplished getting her B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies with a minor in Psychology from Regent University in 2013. Having been raised in a dysfunctional family, she always believed that there was a god but felt that he could not love her. After being married twice and having four children, her life was like a roller coaster ride, not the good kind, and in 2001 she finally found who God truly was and how much He DID love her. Since then she has sought to live the plan that He has for her, although, not always the straightest path, due to her own wandering, she knows deep in her heart that if she had not found God and His calling, she probably would not be here now. He has healed her physically, emotionally and spiritually. In the midst of following God, she has found a passion for writing, for sharing her testimony, especially with other women, and for helping those in need.
