Lamentations 3:22-24

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassion never fails. They are new every morning great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.’”

Every day that we wake up, God’s mercy greets us. We see a new day, new mercies, a new morning. I have to remind myself of this. God has made us into new creations, but sometimes we can feel like we are not changing fast enough or at all. God is so merciful that His Spirit lives in us, to remind us that in Christ we can do all things, even when we struggle with life. He has compassion for us, He willingly responds to us when we ask. Maybe you have some sin in your life that you feel God will not forgive, I know how you feel. There have been times when I have had to cry out to God from my knees for His help with things, I know that are not right in my life. God forgives everyone who asks. Are you asking God to forgive you of something?

Dear Lord, thank you that your mercy is new every morning. I thank you that I can come to you and you will have compassion for me. Help me to share this with others. Give me your mercy so that I may share your mercy with others. I pray all this through Jesus’ name, Amen.
