Psalm 84:11

“For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.”

Just think God is our sun and shield. He provides for us what we need, not necessarily what we think we need. He provides what we need to walk along the path that He has set before us. However, we need to be the ones walking. When we are obedient, He will not hold back what it takes to walk the path that God has given us. He is always with us, whether we walk the path or take a detour. I sometimes think at the times that I walk the way I want, or I take off faster than God had planned, he just shakes his head from above and says, “Oh Denise.” This comforts me in a way, allowing me to know that no matter how many times I make him shake His head, there are many more moments He says, “well done good and faithful daughter.” I hope I have many more days to walk along with God here on this earth. Are you walking the path God has chosen?

Dear Lord, thank you that you love me so much that you allow me to walk your path set out for me, even when I take a detour, you are always there for me. You are my shield and sun. Please help me to see what it is your doing in my life, that I do not ignore what you say or do for me. You are an amazing grace filled Creator and I praise your name. I present all this to you in your name, Amen.
