Ephesians 6:18

“Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

Prayer is vital as Scriptures affirm. It deepens our relationship with God. Through prayer we learn how to have a conversation with the Lord and spend time with Him. How can we pray on all occasions? Well first a prayer does not have to a long-drawn-out thing. Yes, there are times when we pray in length, but we can also make known to our Lord throughout the day with short, quick prayers. I had one of my students in youth group tell me one time that she just opened in prayer in the morning and didn’t close the prayer, this gave her a feeling that she could talk to God all day throughout the day. At night she would lay in her bed and finish the prayer. You don’t have to isolate yourself from others to pray. We do not need to utter the words out loud. We just need to pray and continue to pray to grow towards God. What is your prayer routine?

Dear Lord, Thank you that you want to communicate with me. That you long to hear my prayers as seen through your Word. Please help me to remember this that I can pray wherever whenever. Help me to see those around me who might need prayer and help me to pray for people not just utter the words sure I’ll pray for you. Thank you again for your love and mercy, I pray all this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
