1 Corinthians 2:9-12

“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, What no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived – the things God has prepared for those who love him – these are the things God has revealed to us by the Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows the person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.”

Never in our wildest imagination can we comprehend what God has in store for us. He will create a new heaven and earth for those who believe in Him and are guided by the Holy Spirit. We need not stress whether we have the Holy Spirit in us to help guide us and lead us in God’s way. When we accept God for whom He is and the sacrifice of Christ to take our sins away so that we may have eternal life, we pray for the Spirit to come to us, and He does. Its that simple. To some though it doesn’t seem simple or maybe it does and that’s why they do not believe. The deep things of God that is spoke about in these verses refers to God’s unfathomable nature and His wonderful plan, Jesus death and resurrection, and to the promise of eternal life. This knowledge cannot be grasped by the most intelligent human without accepting the facts of Jesus and the resurrection and asking the Holy Spirit into their lives.
Do you have the Spirit?

Dear God, I am speechless at your unfathomable care for us. When I think of Jesus’ dying on the cross for our sins, I am beyond awed. Please help me to remember your love for me. Help to show your love to others. Help me to listen to your Spirit and let it guide me. Thank you for my life. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
