2 Corinthians 3:17-18
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
When we look at the Old Testament, those who knew God were tied up in ceremonies and rules trying to be saved. Now, we have the Holy Spirit through which God uses to provide freedom from condemnation, sin, and fear of death. When we trust in Christ, the heavy burden of trying to please him is lifted. We have freedom from shame, self-hatred, addictions, and pursuits that finish at a dead end. When trusting Christ, we are not only freed, but we are loved beyond measure. “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” Do you need freedom from something?
Dear God, thank you for my freedom! Give me the wisdom to operate in freedom every day. Help me to help others to see your freedom and implement it. I pray this through Jesus’ name, Amen.
