Psalm 9:4-6

“For you have upheld my right and just cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge. You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name for ever and ever. Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.”

God is our vindicator. He is the one who clears us from criticism and justifies us before others. In today’s world we may face many injustices and be falsely accused, misunderstood by friends and our enemies. People may not truly appreciate our love we show or the value of our work. Even our ideas may be ignored, but we need to continue down the road that God has set before us. He will be there no matter what. He remembers all the good we have done, and it is up to him to time when we receive our rewards. We must trust him to vindicate us and not take on our own vindication. If we trust in him, we will experience his peace and also be free of worry of how others see us.

Dear God, thank you that you are my vindicator. Please give me your strength and courage to continue down the path you have set for me. Help me to love others as you love me. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
